Frequently asked questions

When does e-invoicing become mandatory in Morocco?

The rollout is progressive. Large companies are in the first wave; SMEs and micro-businesses follow. Exact dates will be published in the implementation decree. Preparing your invoicing data now means you will not be caught off guard.

Is a PDF invoice still acceptable?

Under the new regime, a simple PDF will not be sufficient. The DGI will require a structured format that can be transmitted and validated through its platform. Start issuing clean, complete invoices today so the transition is only a format change.

What is the real penalty for a non-compliant invoice?

The most concrete confirmed risk is VAT non-deductibility: a client cannot deduct the VAT on a non-compliant invoice you issued, which creates a liability far larger than any administrative fine.

Is LeCRM DGI-certified?

No tool can claim DGI certification while the decree is still unpublished. LeCRM is built for Moroccan invoicing: ICE, configurable VAT rates, sequential numbering. The DGI platform integration is on the roadmap for when the technical specifications are published.

Does LeCRM handle VAT?

Yes. LeCRM applies Moroccan VAT rates (20%, 14%, 10%, 7%) line by line, with the correct breakdown on every invoice.
